How to Make Rock Candy

Rock Candy 

Basically all you need to make rock candy is sugar and hot water. The color of your crystals will depend on the type of sugar you use (raw sugar is more golden and refined granulated sugar) and whether or not you add coloring. Any food-grade colorant will work.

• 3 cups sugar 
• 
  
• 1 cup water
• 
  
• clean glass jar
• 
  
• cotton string
• 
  
• pencil or knife
• 
  
• food coloring (If you want)
• 
  
• 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp flavoring oil or extract (optional)
• 
  
• Lifesaver candy (optional)
• pan
• 
  
• stove or microwave

How to make home made Rocky Road Ice Cream

• ALL YOU NEED
  1 (14 ounce) can of sweetened condensed milk
• 1/2 a cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
• 2 cups of heavy cream
• 1 cup of light cream
• 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
• 1/2 a cup of chopped pecans
• 1 cup of miniature marshmallows

THE Directions

1. In  medium saucepan over low heat cook and stir condensed milk and cocoa until smooth and slightly thickened, 5 minutes. Remove from heat  and allow to cool slightly. Stir in heavy cream, light cream, and vanilla! Refrigerate until cold enough.
2. Pour mixture into the canister of an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions. Stir in nuts and marshmallows halfway through the freezing process.
